About Dalaman

GENERAL VIEW FROM DALAMAN

Dalaman is not a overcrowded tourist area it is very much a charming Turkish town of Mugla. It is located on the East Mediterranean Region and Aegean Region from each other which is where it takes it name from. Formed by Dalaman Creek it is at the end region of the West Mediterranean between 28 – 52 longitude and 36-44 latitude, and also has easy access to all the other busiest tourist towns.

Dalaman town has many shops, bars, restaurants and tea gardens. It also has an individual enormous natural beach only 9km from the town. There is also an underground tunnel that links the town of Gocek and Dalaman by reducing the journey to only a 5-10 minute drive.

THERMAL SPRINGS

The mineral water springs coming out of different regions of Dalaman town, with the low level sulphur containing high level mineralization and chloride soda content, as can be used during internal and external balneology procedures, are also suggested for treatment of many diseases:

FESTIVALS

The Turkish festival is between 4th May & 12th May it has small public concerts, dancing, contests in various branches, exhibitions, shows, tournaments, are included and the market runs all day everyday up until midnight.

SARIGERME GOLF COURSE

Located in Sarigerme, the course comprises an 18 hole golf course, set in an area of 500 acres stretching from the Dalaman creek & being just a few minutes' walk from the beach and about ten minutes away from Dalaman. Even in winter the weather can be better than the UK's summers such that players can enjoy a round on the links under a warm sun and clear sky, its location less than five minutes' walk away from some of Turkey's best beaches.

THE BEACHES

Dalaman beach is is the closest only 9k from the town, there is a lovely restaurant called the Palladium with a large swimming pool, food is great and very cheap.

Sarsala Beach - The drive to this beach is breathtaking & is about 15k from the town, it is smaller then Dalaman & Sarigerme beaches so it does not get busy except on Sundays, as the locals like to come here. There is a lovely cafe which has great food and again very cheap, you can also do some water sports & arrange to go on the 12 Island boat trip.

We highly recommend you visit this beach!!!

Sarsala BeachOn Sarsala Beach

Sarigerme beach is about 12k from Dalaman town centre, this again is a beautiful long sandy beach with breathtaking views and plenty of watersports, this is a private beach so you will need to pay 5tl for entrance. You can also take a break from sunbathing and take a stroll round the small zoo walk unders the trees and check out the Peacocks, Ducks, Roosters and Rabbits. There is also a lovely cafe that is very cheap and serve delicious pancakes.

Please remember you will require a visitors Visa to enter into Turkey, this consists of paying £10 per person at passport control and they will then insert a sticker into your passport and then stamp it.
